Our Purpose

Our Mission

Project RISHI (Rural India Social and Health Improvement) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the sustainable development and growth of rural Indian communities.

In partnership with local community members and social enterprises, we identify issues central to our target community and provide resources to implement long-lasting solutions through extensive field research and on-campus initiatives.

Our Methodology

We follow a five-step process to ensure that the needs of our partner community are effectively met. This framework maintains the quality of service and support we provide to our target population.

Our Project Categories

Our projects address disparities in the realms of health, water & sanitation, renewable energy, education, and income generation.

What we do

We aim to address key developmental disparities that challenge our target populations. After thoroughly understanding the severity of conditions relevant to each disparity, we research proven solutions developed by social enterprises that have already been successful in alleviating the burden of these disparities.

Project RISHI catalyzes positive change by effectively bringing these sustainable solutions to our partnering villagers and then thoroughly evaluating the impact of each initiative. Our aim is to identify and appropriately address the disparities our communities face while empowering them with the knowledge, tools, and resources to ensure lasting change.
